Holistic, compassionate mental health care
We are in network
Our approach
We believe good care starts with really listening. Drawing on years of experience across community health, inpatient psychiatry, and private practice, we take a trauma-informed relationship-based approach — considering not just a diagnosis, but how your history, health, and life circumstances can shape mental health. Treatment plans are personalized around your goals, grounded in current research, and revisited over time so it keeps evolving with you.
We make that care easy to access through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth visits — private and convenient, with clinical outcomes equivalent to in-person care. We believe in high quality mental health treatment that is also accessible, and are in network with commercial insurance plans.
What we offer
-
Our psychiatric evaluations provide diagnostic clarity for DSM-5 diagnoses, with particular attention to symptoms that might have been masked or overlooked in high-functioning individuals. As in life, mental health doesn't always fit into one box, and our work together considers how a diagnosis may (or may not) apply to you.
Common areas we work with include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, insomnia, PMDD, bipolar disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, postpartum mental health, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
-
We create customized treatment plans guided by current research, new treatments, and your preferences. Your goals, concerns and prior experiences are essential factors in creating a personalized plan that’s best for you.
We also reassess and refine the medication plan over time, identifying the right amount of medication for where you are now. This can sometimes include careful de-prescribing, where we create a safe and comfortable tapering protocol that’s taken at your pace.
We are especially suited to work with people who have struggled to find the right medication, experienced difficult side effects, or feel ambivalent about starting medication. Genetic testing is also offered as an additional resource to help guide that process.
-
The therapeutic relationship is essential to positive outcomes and helping you make the changes you want. We use a relationship-based, trauma-informed approach drawing from modalities most relevant to your clinical picture to create a safe space to explore what's on your mind without judgment.
Many individuals choose to start treatment with supportive psychotherapy while still deciding whether they want to start medications or not. We also assist in providing referrals to therapists when needed, and can provide medication management while you continue working with your current therapist.
-
Taking a whole-person view means looking beyond just a diagnosis. We consider factors such as chronic pain, undiagnosed medical conditions, hormonal factors, or difficult life circumstances as essential parts of the clinical picture.
In addition to traditional psychiatry, we incorporate holistic treatment tools such as evidence-informed nutraceuticals, sleep optimization, nutrition for mental health, physical wellbeing, mindfulness, and spiritual and relational connectedness.
